Qualifications

• Current and valid driver’s licence for the vehicle.
• Delivery driving experience, preferably in transport or freight.
• Good knowledge of local roads and delivery routes.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
• Physical ability to handle freight and perform loading/unloading safely.
• Basic computer skills and use of electronic scanners and delivery systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect freight safely and efficiently across allocated delivery routes.
• Ensure freight is handled carefully and delivered to correct locations.
• Load and unload freight in accordance with procedures and safety requirements.
• Use electronic scanners and systems to record deliveries and freight movements.
• Conduct vehicle pre-start inspections and report defects or maintenance needs.
• Follow road safety regulations and company policies.
• Communicate professionally with customers, depot staff and management.
• Report delivery issues, delays, damaged freight and other concerns promptly.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and general condition.
• Represent the company professionally with a high standard of customer service.
