Job summary

Qantas in Brisbane is seeking a Local Operations Agent to join our freight terminal team. This casual opportunity focuses on warehouse and driving duties within the Brisbane Freight Terminal, with responsibilities spanning loading/unloading interstate trailers and local deliveries around the Airport precinct.

You’ll need a valid forklift licence, a current driver’s licence, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. MR/HR licence is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift licence required.
• Approximately 2 years experience operating a forklift.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail and focus on safety.
• Flexible between warehousing duties and driving duties.
• Experience in a cargo terminal environment desirable.
• Current and valid driver's licence.
• Good driving history essential.
• MR/HR licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload interstate trailers.
• Perform local deliveries and pickups in and around the Airport precinct.
• Support warehouse operations and ensure safety compliance.
• Operate forklift as required within the terminal.

Our interstate trucking services cover the domestic legs of international airfreight operations, driving between all the major cities from our hubs in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

Based in the Brisbane Freight Terminal, your new role as a Local Operations agent you will you performing a range of warehouse and driving duties.

We understand our priorities and what needs to be delivered, taking the initiative to keep things moving. We bring teams and individuals together to deliver on our customers’ expectations.

Your new position as a Local Operations Agent will see you performing warehouse duties including the loading and unloading interstate trailers. You will also be responsible for local deliveries and pick-ups in and around the Airport precinct.

You’ll have –

• A valid forklift licence
• Approximately2 yearsexperience operating a forklift
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail and focus on safety
• Ability to be flexible between warehousing duties and driving duties
• Experience in a cargo terminal environment will be desirable
• Current and valid driver's licence
• Good driving history (Essential)
• An MR/HR licence preferred but not essential
