Job summary

BMR Logistics is seeking Local HC/MC truck drivers in Townsville, Australia. The role involves transporting general, containerized and refrigerated freight, coordinating load plans, and ensuring safety and legal compliance.

Join a family-owned operation with a rotating roster, well-maintained fleet and opportunities for uncapped earnings. You will work closely with a small depot and be responsible for pre-start checks and paperwork.

Qualifications

• HC/MC licence required.
• Valid traffic history printout – minimum 3 years.
• Be physically fit and able to pass driver medical including drug & alcohol test.
• Ability to meet deadlines and time manage in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and follow load plans.
• Complete electronic pre-start checklists, safety documentation and electronic delivery paperwork.
• Work with the depot for loading, unloading and transport of freight.
• Meet TruckSafe requirements and state road law compliance.
• Ensure driver Chain of Responsibility is met.
• General yard/warehouse duties as required.
• Weekly truck upkeep and cleaning.

We currently have vacancies for Local HC / MC truck drivers to become an integral part of our business. The positions involve transportation of General, containerized and refrigerated freight.

• Co-Ordination and following of load plans


• Completing relevant electronic pre-start checklists, safety documentation and electronic delivery paperwork


• Working closely with small depot for the accurate loading, unloading and transportation of freight


• Ability to meet all TruckSafe requirements and regulations and state road law compliance.


• Ensure all driver “Chain of Responsibility” is met


• General yard/warehouse duties as required


• Weekly truck upkeep, including washing inside and out
