Job summary

Followmont Transport Pty Ltd in Rockhampton is seeking a Local MC Driver (Casual). You will deliver and pick up general freight, build strong customer relationships, and work flexibly across varied hours with penalty rates for overtime.

In this role, you will load/unload freight, perform pre-start checks, and complete required paperwork. Forklift operation is optional and regional requirements may apply, with a focus on safety and service.

Qualifications

• Current MR license with proven heavy vehicle experience (min 2 years).
• Forklift LF ticket.
• Able to pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screen, and criminal history check if required.
• Strong communication and customer service focus.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Flexible with working varied hours, including weekends and overtime with penalty rates.
• Deliver high levels of service transporting general freight to the community.
• Load/unload freight safely with some manual handling.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and paperwork (pre-start checks, run sheets, PODs, logbooks).
• Operate forklift or pallet jack to load/unload general freight (regional only) (Optional).
