Job summary

1800 Drivers is seeking a skilled driver for a local, yard-based role in Brisbane. You will manage trailer movements of container and general freight trailers safely and efficiently, with an early start at 5am and five days a week.

Based at a busy transport yard, you will coordinate loading/unloading, work with yard supervisors and dock staff, and maintain a strong safety focus while delivering pallets of general freight.

Qualifications

• MC Licence is essential and must be held.
• Minimum 18 months local driving experience with good trailer handling skills.
• Strong safety focus and reliable work ethic.
• Ability to read paperwork and work autonomously or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Local BDouble work including containers and tautliners.
• Coordinating trailer positioning for loading and unloading.
• Ensuring safe operation and adherence to site procedures.
• Working closely with yard supervisors and dock staff.
