As a Local Area Coordinator, your role is a pivotal function in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). You are responsible forthe delivery and implementation of Partner in the Community Local Area Coordination Services in a defined geographical area.
As a Local Area Coordinator, you will assist people with disability to advocate, plan, organise and access the support and services needed to live an ordinary life. This includes assessing each person’s eligibility for the NDIS and (where eligible) helping to establish an NDIS plan with reasonable and necessary supports. Your role will engage with the local community to assist people with disability to access mainstream services regardless of NDIS eligibility.
