Job summary

Synergie Australia is currently seeking a confident Loading Marshall to join a busy logistics operation in Milperra. You will coordinate truck movements, allocate drivers to loading spots, and ensure WHS compliance in a fast-paced yard.

The role suits someone with traffic control or logistics experience who can communicate clearly with drivers and maintain safety standards in a busy loading environment. Immediate start with ongoing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous Traffic Controller experience – highly desirable.
• Previous experience in transport, logistics, warehousing, yard coordination or a similar environment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Confidence communicating with a wide range of truck drivers and transport personnel.
• The ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to use computers, tablets and technology-based systems.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• A strong understanding of workplace health and safety.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to ongoing work.
• A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct truck drivers arriving and departing the site.
• Allocate drivers to designated loading and unloading spots using site technology and systems.
• Communicate clearly with drivers regarding loading locations, procedures and site requirements.
• Monitor truck movements and assist with maintaining an organised and efficient yard.
• Ensure drivers follow site traffic management procedures.
• Enforce WHS requirements and site safety procedures.
• Ensure drivers remain within designated areas and follow loading instructions.
• Assist with managing vehicle flow during busy periods.
• Use computers, tablets and other technology to allocate and manage driver locations.
• Maintain accurate records and update relevant systems as required.
• Communicate with warehouse, transport and operational teams.
• Identify and report safety hazards or operational issues.
• Maintain a professional, respectful and approachable manner when dealing with drivers and site personnel.
