Job summary

Nature Foundation seeks a Conservation Land Manager to live on Hiltaba Reserve and oversee day-to-day management, budgets, assets and visitor program. The role requires practical land management skills, remote-site experience, and the ability to work with a diverse range of partners and contractors.

Applicants should have environmental management credentials and a strong track record in conservation, with a focus on resilience in remote, field-based operations and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Current knowledge of ecological and nature conservation management.
• Strong practical land management skills.
• Experience managing a remote site or field program with contractors, casual staff and a budget.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver the reserve's annual work program and budget.
• Supervise casual staff, contractors and volunteers on the reserve.
• Manage reserve assets, infrastructure, vehicles and equipment, and ensure compliance (cultural heritage, biosecurity, fire).
• Build relationships with Traditional Owners, neighbours, government agencies and visitors.
