Job summary

MyEvent Productions Pty in Melbourne is seeking an Audio Visual Technician for a contract, on-site role. You will set up, operate and dismantle AV equipment for meetings, events and presentations, ensuring reliable sound and visuals.

You will configure video conferencing systems, adjust lighting and projection, monitor performance, and coordinate with staff and clients. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required for event schedules.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with Audio Visual (AV) Systems, including setup, configuration, and operation.
• Strong Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues under time constraints.
• Experience configuring and supporting Video Conferencing platforms and related hardware.
• Knowledge of Lighting and Projectors, including focusing, alignment, and basic programming or control.
• Relevant experience in event production, live sound, or AV support; formal training or certification in AV technology or related fields is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced event environments.
• Good communication and collaboration skills to work with clients, venue staff, and other technical team members.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.

Responsibilities
