Job summary

Randstad Pty is seeking a skilled Light Vehicle Mechanic in Brisbane to perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of light passenger vehicles and light commercial trucks. You will identify mechanical, electrical and electronic issues using scan tools and complete logbook services with a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified automotive mechanic or equivalent with apprenticeship completed.
• 2+ years hands-on workshop experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficient with electronic diagnostic tools and shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using modern diagnostic scan tools.
• Perform routine logbook services, oil changes, tire replacements, wheel alignments, and multi-point safety inspections.
• Repair or replace brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust systems, engines, and transmissions.
• Maintain high workmanship standards, ensure test drives pass safety checks, and strictly follow workshop safety protocols.
• Clearly explain technical issues to service advisors or customers and maintain clean, accurate job logs.

It's a very well-recognized Top-Tier National Business with workshops all across Brisbane, QLD and Australia. They are looking for a temporary mechanic that can potentially become permanent or get extended to work with them.

Key Responsibilities
