Job summary

Motion in Burnie is seeking a dedicated Lifting Technician to inspect, test, repair and maintain lifting equipment to meet safety standards. You’ll work with customers to provide expert lifting solutions and ensure equipment reliability, while enjoying a company vehicle and tools provided by the employer.

The role offers full-time permanent employment, Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime and bonuses, plus career growth within Motion’s network and access to training resources.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Australian Standards related to lifting equipment and safety (e.g., AS 4991, AS 1418).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Current driver’s licence is essential.

• Perform inspections, testing, and certification of lifting equipment, including chains, slings, hoists, and other lifting gear.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Provide technical advice and support to customers regarding lifting solutions and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and certifications.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with sales to identify customer needs and lifting solutions.
• Uphold a strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
