Job summary

Bolton Clarke Glendale in Townsville is seeking a proactive Lifestyle Coordinator to lead our Lifestyle team and deliver a person-centred program that reflects residents' interests and cultural backgrounds.

You will mentor staff, create engaging activities that support wellbeing across emotional, social, cognitive and physical health, and collaborate with clinical teams to ensure safety and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Cert IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or equivalent (recognised by Bolton Clarke)
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Passion for creating meaningful experiences that enhance resident wellbeing
• Strong leadership skills with ability to mentor and inspire a team
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Understanding of aged care legislation and regulatory requirements
• Initiative and problem-solving to drive positive outcomes
• Complete a National Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Check prior to commencement

Responsibilities

• Lead the Lifestyle team to deliver person-centred lifestyle programs reflecting resident interests and cultural backgrounds
• Design engaging activities supporting emotional, social, cognitive, spiritual and physical wellbeing
• Mentor and motivate staff to deliver high-quality programs
• Collaborate with clinical and care staff to ensure plans are safe and aligned with resident needs
• Ensure programs meet accreditation standards and organisational policies
• Manage the activities budget and maintain resources and equipment
• Lead volunteer recruitment, onboarding, coordination and recognition
• Build community links to bring external engagement into the home
