Job summary

Blacktown City Council is hiring an Activity Assistant (Pool Lifeguard) for our pools, including Charlie Lowles Leisure Centre Emerton, Riverstone Swimming Centre and Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope. You will supervise pool users, monitor water quality, respond to incidents and promote water safety to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for the community.

Qualifications

• Entry-level opportunity within a large council.
• Willingness to work flexible casual shifts.
• Ability to supervise pool users and respond to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pool users and respond to incidents.
• Promote water safety and provide first aid when required.
• Conduct water quality testing and safety inspections.
• Maintain incident records and assist with program setup/pack-downs.
• Support Keep Watch @ Public Pools program and maintain cleanliness.
