Job summary

Ymca Nsw is seeking a Pool Lifeguard for Laurieton, NSW to oversee pool safety and ensure a welcoming environment for visitors. You will supervise swimmers, enforce rules, and respond to emergencies with professionalism.

The role requires current Lifeguard certification and First Aid (CPR). You will work with a team that values safety, customer service, and community wellbeing, across various shifts including weekends.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Pool Lifeguard, you'll be at the heart of our aquatic facility, ensuring every visitor has a safe and enjoyable experience. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Actively supervising swimmers and pool users to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to emergencies
• Enforcing pool rules and regulations in a friendly and professional manner
• Performing first aid and emergency response procedures when required
• Conducting regular pool safety checks and maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Providing exceptional customer service to all patrons, from beginners to experienced swimmers
• Assisting with the setup and pack-down of aquatic programs and activities
• Maintaining accurate records and incident reports as needed
