About the role

selectability has an exciting opportunity for a life coach to join our team in Sarina. As a life coach you will assist members set meaningful goals to enable them to create a life on their terms; assisting to close the gap between where they are and where they want to be. The Clubhouse is a dynamic environment that supports a growing community of members living with mental illness.

The peer-supported environment allows members to build confidence, make friends, learn the skills needed to access education and employment opportunities. You will work with members to develop the weekly programs and assist in the day-to-day operations of the Clubhouse.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • foster a positive, supportive, and motivating environment for personal growth
  • collaborate with other professionals to provide holistic support and resources
  • monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting coaching strategies as needed
  • empower clients to build confidence, improve well-being, and enhance their quality of life
About you

To be considered for this rewarding role you will have great interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

To be successful you must:

  • be creative and can facilitate groups and work to the needs of the recipients and the community
  • willing to try new things and support capacity building
  • ability to use computers to complete small administrative tasks

  • excellent communication skills, with the ability to reach an isolated audience
  • ability to work autonomously
  • comfortable driving a passenger vehicle
Role requirements
  • relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience (highly desirable)
  • current nationally recognised First aid & CPR certificates (or the ability to obtain)
  • a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module "Quality, Safety & You" completion certificate
  • a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland drivers licence
  • roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance

This is a casual position based in Sarina.
