Job summary

St Albans Secondary College is seeking a Library Resource Centre Leader to drive curriculum-aligned library services and reading programs across Year 7–12. You will lead a team, manage budgets and resources, and collaborate with teaching staff to enhance student learning and literacy outcomes.

Experience in school libraries, strong leadership and communication skills, and eligibility to teach in Victoria are essential, with a focus on promoting reading for enjoyment and independent learning

Qualifications

• High level interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage and support staff and programs.
• Experience in school leadership and library management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Library Resource Centre programs and services.
• Promote reading for enjoyment and cross-curricular literacy across year levels.
• Oversee budget, resources and staffing for the Library Resource Centre.
• Coordinate literacy events and collaborate with teaching staff to enhance student learning.
• Provide leadership and professional support to staff within the library.
