Job summary

Blue Mountains City Council – Katoomba NSW is seeking an Information and Support Services Officer for the Blue Mountains Library. You will join a small, motivated team delivering centralised, customer focused information and support to all library branches.

Key duties include administering the Library Management System and associated technologies (including the library website), producing reports, cataloguing materials, maintaining the SharePoint procedures manual, training staff and covering

Qualifications

• Experience with information management systems and technology.
• Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
• Ability to identify priorities and provide effective support to staff and customers.

Responsibilities

• Administer day-to-day operation of the Library Management System and integrated technologies including the library website.
• Produce statistical and other specialised reports.
• Cataloguing of library materials.
• Coordinate the library procedure manual (SharePoint).
• Training of library staff.
• Circulation desk shifts as required.
