Are you a Senior Registered Nurse looking for a role where compassion meets purpose?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our progressive, values-driven aged care organisation on a full time or permanent part-time (4 days a week) basis!

Reporting to the Clinical Care Lead, you’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team, delivering high-quality, person-centred care that genuinely improves lives.

In this role, you’ll hold portfolio responsibility for wounds and wound management, ensuring best practice approaches are maintained across the facility. Additional training and education will be provided in this area to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.

You will also provide clinical leadership cover during periods of leave, offering guidance and support to the team as needed. This will support long term career development opportunities into future leadership roles, and pathways for professional growth.

You’ll bring clinical expertise, leadership experience, strong ethical values, and a passion for excellence to every shift. Whether you’re working independently or alongside others, your professionalism and strong moral values will shine through in everything you do.

What you’ll do and be responsible for:
  • Lead the wound care portfolio, ensuring best practice management and documentation.
  • Step onto the floor and assist with clinical workload as required (medications, documentation, resident assessments, family communication etc) demonstrating a hands‑on and supportive approach.
  • Support the clinical team by backfilling clinical leadership leave throughout the year (acting as a Clinical Care Coordinator during these periods).
  • Demonstrate leadership in maintaining infection control, manual handling and care provision principles at all times and educate staff on related policies and procedures.
What you’ll need to succeed:
  • Bachelor of Nursing with full AHPRA registration (no restrictions).
  • Post Graduate experience (preferred 3 years).
  • Up to date qualifications in First Aid and CPR.
  • Demonstrated clinical assessment skills and strong wound management experience.
  • Ability to mentor and lead others.
  • Comprehensive clinical knowledge of the ageing process & health and a working knowledge of relevant Aged Care legislation.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to resident wellbeing.
It would be helpful if you had (but is not essential to apply for the role):
  • Experience working in Aged Care.
  • A current National Police Certificate (or willingness to apply).
If you want to join our amazing team, St Basil’s offers:
  • A competitive salary based on experience.
  • A friendly and inclusive culture, where the values of courtesy and kindness underpin everything that we do.
