Job summary

Northern Coalfields Community Care Association - Cessnock NSW invites applications for a Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator to create meaningful experiences that enhance the lives of residents. You will design and deliver lifestyle programs, plan social activities, and foster community connections in a welcoming residential setting.

Based at Jacaranda Grove in Cessnock, this full-time role requires passion for older people, relevant qualifications, and experience in aged care or community services.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for supporting older people.
• Qualifications in Leisure & Health, or a related field.
• Experience in aged care, community services, or a similar environment.
• The ability to conduct lifestyle assessments and develop resident-centred lifestyle care plans.
• Knowledge of person-centred care and the importance of supporting resident choice, independence and wellbeing.
• Strong communication, documentation and organisational skills.
• Creativity, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging lifestyle programs and social activities for residents.
• Create community connections and organise special events and themed celebrations.
• Develop and implement resident-centred lifestyle care plans.
• Assess lifestyle needs and tailor activities to individual wellbeing.
• Maintain documentation and communicate with the care team.

At NCCCA, we're looking for a passionate Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator to create meaningful experiences that bring joy, connection, purpose, and wellbeing to our residents.

In this rewarding role, you'll design and deliver engaging lifestyle programs, social activities, special events, and community connections that enhance the quality of life of older people. From group activities and themed celebrations to individual wellbeing initiatives, you'll play a key role in creating a vibrant and welcoming community where residents feel valued, connected, and empowered.

Full-time position - Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm

Based within our Residential Aged Care Community at Jacaranda Grove in Cessnock.

What You'll Bring
