Job summary

Whitehorse City Council seeks an Aqualink Duty Manager to ensure smooth Centre operations, from opening to closing, while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining safety standards.

You will lead and train staff, oversee cash handling, membership sales, and reporting, and respond to emergencies per Centre procedures. The role requires strong communication, leadership and pool plant knowledge in a dynamic leisure facility.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of leisure facility processes and procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication with patrons and staff.
• Ability to train, lead and coach staff on shift.
• Knowledge of pool plant operations and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Centre during shifts.
• Ensure opening, closing, and security per Centre policies.
• Provide leadership, training and supervision to staff.
• Respond to first aid and emergencies per Centre procedures.
• Maintain Centre cleanliness and accurate records.
• Conduct reception duties and cash handling as required.
• Assist with membership sales and reporting.
