Job summary

SA Health is seeking a Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator to lead leisure, lifestyle, and therapeutic activities for residents at Strathalbyn. You will tailor programs to individual needs, work with residents, families, staff and volunteers, and help create an engaging, person-centred aged care environment.

This ongoing full-time role at BHFLHN involves developing and evaluating activity programs, supporting independence and social connection, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III in sterilising technology required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver a diverse range of leisure, lifestyle, recreational, and therapeutic activities that enhance residents' quality of life.
• Support residents to participate in meaningful activities that promote independence, choice, social connection, and emotional wellbeing.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individual and group programs that cater to varying cognitive, physical, cultural, and social needs.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, volunteers, community groups, and staff to create a vibrant and engaging aged care environment.
• Monitor resident participation and feedback to continuously improve programs and ensure activities remain relevant, enjoyable, and person-centred.

As the Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator, you will coordinate a range of social, recreational, and therapeutic activities tailored to residents' individual needs, interests, and abilities.

Working closely with residents, families, staff, volunteers, and the multidisciplinary team, you will help create a supportive and vibrant aged care environment where residents feel connected, valued, and empowered to live life to the fullest.
