Job summary

VMCH Providence seeks a compassionate Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant to support residents in engaging activities that enhance wellbeing, independence and quality of life.

You will work with the Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator to tailor activities to residents' interests, culture and care needs, promoting inclusion and social engagement in a supportive aged care setting.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid Certificate.

Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant | Residential Aged Care | VMCH Providence

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant to join our Residential Aged Care team. In this rewarding role, you will support residents to engage in meaningful activities that enhance their wellbeing, independence and quality of life. Working closely with the Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator, you will help deliver activities that reflect each resident's individual interests, abilities, cultural background and care needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents to participate in a range of meaningful leisure and lifestyle activities.
• Assist with planning, organising and facilitating individual and group activities.

What's Required

Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care

• Experience in aged care is desirable
• Commitment to maintaining resident dignity, choice and privacy.
• Availability to work Monday and Tuesday 1000 to 1600hrs
