Job summary

The Department of the Senate is seeking applications for the Legislative Research Officer role within the Legislative Scrutiny Unit of the Procedure Office in Canberra. The successful candidate will provide high-level administrative and coordination support to parliamentary committees including the Joint Committee on Human Rights and the Senate Scrutiny committees.

Qualifications

• Proof and edit a variety of documents for committee scrutiny.
• Coordinate a high volume of correspondence to and from the committee.
• Prepare reports and other publications for tabling and publication.
• Liaise with parliamentarians, ministerial offices and officials.
• Publish materials to the committee webpages.

Responsibilities
