Job summary

HorizonOne Recruitment is supporting CDPP to recruit a Legal Support Officer (LSO) for a six-month labour hire based in Perth, WA. The successful candidate will provide broad administrative support to the legal practice groups, including case file creation, document drafting and court-related coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering a broad range of support services in a government and/or legal environment
• Ability to apply judgement and provide advice using established procedures
• Research and analysis skills, resolving issues based on established procedure
• Ability to develop positive stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively within a team
• Demonstrated level of personal drive, initiative and integrity

Responsibilities

• Creating and administrating case files, photocopying, filing, data entry, and records management
• Drafting emails, routine correspondence and documents from templates
• Coordinating witness, drafting summons/subpoenas, arranging travel and other court-related tasks
• Preparing court materials, undertaking deliveries and collections, and lodging / filing documentation
• Conducting basic research activities, arranging video conferencing, interpreters and translators
• Liaising with Federal Prosecutors, external agencies, courts and counsel
