Legal Operations Specialist | Build & Implement an Improvement Program

LOD (Lawyers on Demand) is currently seeking an experienced Legal Operations & Practice Improvement Specialist to establish and drive a significant program of legal transformation and operational improvement in a law firm.

In this role, you'll shape the future of a legal practice by identifying, designing and delivering improvements that enhance the efficiency, consistency and quality of legal service delivery.

The Opportunity

In the initial phase of the engagement, you'll spend time understanding how the legal practice currently operates. You'll analyse data, review existing processes and documentation, and engage extensively with lawyers and key stakeholders to understand current challenges, pain points and future requirements.

Through meaningful consultation and evidence based analysis, you'll identify improvement opportunities, establish priorities and develop a practical and achievable roadmap to optimise legal processes, systems, workflows and documentation. You'll then lead the design, development and implementation of improvement initiatives that create positive and sustainable outcomes across the organisation.

About You

You're a lawyer with demonstrated legal operations and practice improvement experience or a legal transformation professional with a proven record of delivering change for a law firm.

You understand the realities of legal practice and have credibility with lawyers because you've worked closely with them to improve how legal services are delivered. Equally, you bring the project management skills, strategic mindset and change leadership capability necessary to drive organisation wide initiatives.

For this role, we're specifically looking for someone with demonstrated experience leading legal operations, legal transformation, practice improvement or legal project initiatives within a law firm, legal services organisation or sophisticated in-house legal team. Applicants with purely legal experience or purely project management experience are unlikely to possess the combination of skills required for success.
