NSW Government is offering a Graduate Program in the Legal Stream to launch your legal career with the state’s largest employer. You will gain exposure to litigation, legal advice, and policy work across agencies while rotating through placements in Sydney.

The program includes mentoring, networking events, and a pathway to permanent employment after completion. Applicants should be recent graduates with eligible degrees; visa conditions permitting full-time work in Australia are required.

Eligibility

To apply for the 2028 graduate program, you must:

• hold a current visa or be in the process of obtaining a visa permitting you to work full-time in Australia for the 18-month duration of the program until August 2029
• complete your undergraduate or postgraduate degree between 1 June 2025 and 31 December 2027, including any work placements
• be available to start full-time work on February 2028.
