Job summary

Nordex Group is seeking a Legal Counsel for Australia and New Zealand to partner with business leaders on wind energy projects. You will advise on major contracts, governance, compliance, and dispute management, supporting development, construction, and service activities across SAAPAC.

You will work with senior teams and external firms to manage risks, ensure regulatory alignment, and enable project execution in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with PQE in commercial, construction, energy, infrastructure, or engineering law.
• 7+ years post-qualification experience in related fields.
• Experience supporting renewable energy or construction projects, preferably international.
• Proven ability to draft, negotiate and manage complex commercial agreements (EPC, BoP, Sale & Purchase, Service, Maintenance).
• Strong risk assessment, governance, and corporate secretarial capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate contracts including complex supply, EPC, and O&M for wind farms.
• Provide continual legal support to project management, operations, procurement, and services across SAAPAC.
• Assess contractual risks and report to management for approvals.
• Support governance and company secretarial matters within the region and ensure compliance.
• Monitor regulatory developments impacting renewables in SAAPAC countries.
