Join Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Australia's leading independent law firm.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Responsible Business and ESG team for an experienced Legal Assistant to support a team of lawyers. The successful candidate will share our values for responsible business and sustainability and will utilise their strong work ethic and attention to detail to support the team, as well as be comfortable working autonomously to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines.

This role is permanent full-time.

Key responsibilities
  • Diary and inbox management
  • Billing, time recording, expense management and reporting
  • Preparation of correspondence and Court documents
  • Filing and service of Court documents
  • Infotrack searches (property searches; ASIC searches, etc)
  • Assisting with telephone enquiries and ability to develop relationships internally and externally
  • Matter management including opening and closing files, archiving, electronic filing, and physical filing
  • Event management and travel bookings
Required skills and experience
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently
  • Advanced knowledge of Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Advanced knowledge of CMS Aderant or other finance related software
  • Advanced knowledge of NetDocuments or other document management software.
