Job summary

Empire Group is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join its Real Estate team in Sydney. You will support Partners and senior fee earners and help manage matters, deadlines and billing.

Key duties include preparing engagement letters and documents, managing diaries, and liaising with clients and stakeholders across acquisitions, disposals, developments and leasing transactions. The role offers hybrid working arrangements and strong professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and document formatting skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
  • A proactive attitude and strong commitment to delivering high quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with matter management including conflict checks, file opening and file maintenance.
  • Prepare engagement letters, legal documents and correspondence.
  • Managing diaries, inboxes and coordinating meetings.
  • Monitoring critical dates and key matter deadlines.
  • Preparing monthly billing, expense processing and invoicing.
  • Formatting and proofreading legal documents and contracts.
  • Liaising with clients, agents, financiers and other stakeholders.
  • Providing administrative support across Real Estate matters including acquisitions, disposals, developments and leasing transactions.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Legal Assistant to join a highly regarded Real Estate team within a leading national law firm. Supporting Partners and senior fee earners, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient management of matters and delivery of exceptional client service. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting with matter management, including conflict checks, file opening and file maintenance
  • Preparing engagement letters, legal documents and correspondence
  • Managing diaries, inboxes and coordinating meetings
  • Monitoring critical dates and key matter deadlines
  • Preparing monthly billing, expense processing and invoicing
  • Formatting and proofreading legal documents and contracts
  • Liaising with clients, agents, financiers and other stakeholders
  • Providing administrative support across a range of Real Estate matters including acquisitions, disposals, developments and leasing transactions
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Minimum 3 years Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary experience
