Our client is a mid‑sized, highly respected law firm known for providing outstanding services. An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic Legal Assistant to join their Litigation Team.

This role sits within the Litigation Team and involves direct client interaction and hands on file involvement.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
  • liaise with clients and take accurate instructions;
  • take telephone calls and assist where appropriate;
  • manage lawyers diaries;
  • prepare briefs to counsel (hard copy and electronic);
  • conduct searches (company, ASIC, title etc.);
  • prepare bills;
  • dictatyping;
  • manage files; and
  • general administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning documents, sorting incoming mail etc.

Our client is ideally seeking a self‑motivated and enthusiastic candidate who takes pride in their work and is passionate about what they do.

In addition you will have:
  • approximately 5+ years experience as a legal secretary (Commercial Litigation, Owners Corporation & / or Construction experience highly regarded);
  • intermediate MS Word / typing skills;
  • great attention to detail;
  • excellent time management skills;
  • a friendly team attitude and a pro‑active approach; and
  • exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
