Join us and bring your industry expertise into the classroom as an Engineering Professional Practice Fellow / Lecturer . This teaching-focused role offers a unique opportunity to teach and mentor aspiring engineers and contribute to practice-informed curriculum development.
The School of Civil and Mechanical Engineering (CME) is seeking experienced engineering professionals with a passion for education to join our teaching team. The roles are ideal for professionals with significant experience working in civil, mechanical or construction engineering or a closely related field, who are eager to share their expertise with the next generation of engineers, and help students bridge the gap between theory and practice.
You will contribute to development and delivery of high quality, practice-informed teaching in the subdiscipline of Engineering Management within the Bachelor of Engineering and / or Master of Engineering Management programs, supervise industry-relevant student projects and collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum design.
The School of CME delivers undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and high-quality research in civil and mechanical engineering.Curtin is recognised internationally as a leader in graduate research studies and for the breadth and quality of its research higher degree programs and offers Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The School has acquired laboratory facilities worth over $5 million and has a student retention rate 90% retained in School programs, with 93% retained at Curtin, one of the highest student-satisfaction rates across the university.
