UNSW invites applications for a Lecturer in Electrical Energy Systems and Power Engineering. The role combines teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs with supervisory duties for Honours and postgraduate projects, and research leadership in power systems.

Based in the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, you will engage with industry and interdisciplinary partners while contributing to curriculum quality assurance and educational innovation to support

Qualifications

• PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Commitment to keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
• Demonstrated teaching design, development or delivery at undergrad/postgrad levels in power systems or electrical energy engineering.
• Track record in power systems research with high quality outputs.
• Evidence of research excellence and potential for leadership.
• Experience with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.
• Desirable: industry experience or work-integrated learning.
• Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, and to engaging with industry.

Responsabilités

• Deliver high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
• Supervise Honours and postgraduate project students.
• Contribute to course administration and academic quality assurance.
• Undertake research in electrical energy systems and power engineering.
• Engage with industry, government and interdisciplinary collaborators.
