Marymount College on the Gold Coast is seeking a School Officer (Student Support & Inclusive Education) to provide one-on-one learning support and supervision for a student for Term 4 2026.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Providing support to a student with additional needs, including assisting with the personal care requirements.
• Assisting with the planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs, including the use of technology and learning support activities.
• Monitoring the progress of the student and identifying learning areas to provide evidence-based intervention strategies.
• Improving student learning outcomes by providing support and advice on supporting students with diverse learning needs.
• Collaborating with school specialists in organising and assisting with intervention groups to coordinate services.
• Documenting observation notes, intervention programs and assist in the collation and preparation of classroom materials.

Marymount College, based in the vibrant Gold Coast suburb of Burleigh Waters is seeking a School Officer (Learning Support & Inclusive Edcuation) to provide one on one learning support and supervision for a student for the duration of Term 4 2026.

• Work hours: 30.00 hours per week
• Salary: School Officer Level 3 $34.17 - $35.62 per hour + 12.75% Super (School Salary Scale)

About the opportunity

Marymount College is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Officer (Student Support & Inclusive Education) to join our supportive and student-focused community. The successful applicant will provide one on one support to a student with diverse learning and wellbeing needs, assisting to provide an inclusive and engaging learning experience.

Additional duties you will be responsible for will include:

• Providing support to a student with additional needs, including assisting with the personal care requirements
• Assisting with the planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs, including the use technology and learning support activities
• Monitoring the progress of the student and identifing learning areas to provide evidence-based intervention strategies
• Improving student learning outcomes by providing support and advice on supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborating with school specialists in organising and assisting with intervention groups to coordinate services
• Documenting observation notes, intervention programs and assist in the collation and preparation of classroom materials.
• Holding a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

Experience with students with disability, trauma backgrounds, or additional learning needs will be highly regarded.

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

• Strong skills in planning, preparing, and delivering effective teaching programs
• Ability to monitor student progress and apply evidence-based interventions
• Expertise in supporting diverse learning needs to improve student outcomes
• Collaborative skills to work with specialists and coordinate intervention groups
• Proficient in documenting observations, managing intervention programs, and preparing classroom materials
• Certificate III in Education Support
• For this position you are not required to be Catholic.

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements

• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
• Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
