Overview

Nowra Christian School are currently inviting applications from committed Christians of Protestant persuasion who are active in their local church, to join our secondary team in 2025, as a:

Secondary Learning Support Coordinator

A full-time position leading the implementation of learning support in our Secondary School.

Responsibilities

• Working collaboratively with executive staff, oversee the implementation of targeted intervention strategies and programs, as well as classroom support and other support for students with high learning needs.
• Provide active oversight of IEP development, NCCD processes, disability adjustments and liaison with external providers.
• Part-time hours may be negotiated for the right candidate.

Selection Criteria

• A committed Christian actively involved in their local Protestant church and a solid understanding of teaching from a Christian worldview
• An understanding of effective practices in learning support, including intervention programs, classroom-based support and targeted support strategies.
• Qualifications in Education and additional training or expertise in Special Education, Learning Support, or a related field would be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of inclusive education, differentiation, NCCD processes, and best practice intervention strategies.
• Demonstrated experience supporting students with diverse learning needs within a school setting.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and administration skills.
• Ability to build capacity in teachers and work in partnership with parents and external providers.
• A heart for each child’s unique journey and a desire to see all students grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Mandatory Requirements

• Current Protestant church minister’s referee details
• Completion of the school’s online application form

• NSW Teacher Accreditation number
