Job summary

A leading educational institution in Melbourne is seeking a Learning Enhancement & Diversity Coordinator. This role involves the coordination of support for students with additional needs and ensuring their inclusion in all aspects of college life. Responsibilities include planning PSG meetings, developing Individual Learning Plans, and liaising with external bodies. Job description
Role Description / Criteria

The College is seeking a Learning Enhancement & Diversity Coordinator who is responsible for the coordination of support to student with additional needs.

Position of Leadership roles with the College are appointed on a three-year basis. POL 4 - Time Allowance 38 periods.

Main Responsibilities
  • Planning, chairing and actioning items from PSG meetings;
  • Coordination of all Learning Support Officers to assist with the inclusion of students with a disability into the spiritual, social and academic life of the College;
  • Develop data to the NCCD of students who require additional support ;
  • Provide leadership and coaching to mainstream teachers whose students with additional needs require reasonable adjustments that match their ILP.
  • Liaison with primary schools to ensure smooth transition into year 7;
  • Create Individual Learning Plans for funded students;
  • Liaise with external bodies in the provision of screening, testing and support for students who have additional needs’
  • Formation of support strategies for students;
  • Monitoring and catering for the needs of students with physical disabilities;
  • Other duties as outlined in the Position Description.
Key Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrated understanding of state and national education policies and legislative obligations relating to students with disability
  • Proven experience in implementing inclusive teaching practices informed by MTSS, RTI, and UDL
  • Extensive experience supporting diverse learning needs through effective use of assessment data to design and deliver evidenced-based interventions.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead inclusive practice and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience in executing NCCD processes and practices
