Penske Australia is seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join our Remanufacturing team in Hazelmere, WA. This hands-on leadership role supports day-to-day workshop operations, coaches technicians, and ensures engine and transmission repairs and overhauls are completed safely and efficiently.

You’ll balance hands-on work with leading the team to meet schedules and quality standards. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in heavy vehicle/engine environments, a trade qualification, and proven

• Trade qualification required.
• 5+ years experience in heavy vehicle/engine industry.
• Strong technical knowledge and fault-finding capability.
• Experience with Detroit, MTU, Series 60 and/or Allison product lines highly regarded.
• Previous leadership, supervisory or Leading Hand experience, or capability to step into a leadership position.
• Ability to motivate, coach and support a team of technicians.
• Strong organisation and time-management skills.
• Understanding of workshop productivity, labour costs, gross margin and operational performance.
• Confidence using computer-based systems.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and delivering great outcomes for customers.

Responsabilidades

• Provide day-to-day supervision and support across workshop repairs, preventative maintenance, engine and transmission overhauls.
• Coordinate daily workloads and allocate repair jobs to technicians.
• Provide technicians with technical guidance and information to complete service, repair and overhaul work.
• Remain hands-on in the workshop with productive hours booked directly to customer jobs.
• Monitor job progress and communicate any additional work requirements or potential delays.
• Work closely with Service, Parts and Advisors to ensure parts are available when required.
• Coach and develop technicians while promoting safety and quality standards.
• Drive productivity, efficiency and continuous improvement across the workshop.
• Help the team achieve customer schedules while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
• Champion a proactive, safety-first culture and ensure company HSE requirements are followed.

Penske Australia is seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join our Remanufacturing team in Hazelmere. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll support the day-to-day running of the workshop, lead and coach technicians, and help ensure engine and transmission repairs and overhauls are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. About The Role

Working closely with the Remanufacturing/Service Manager, you'll play a key role in coordinating workshop activities and keeping jobs moving. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing day-to-day supervision and support across workshop repairs, preventative maintenance, engine and transmission overhauls.

About You

• An appropriate trade qualification.
• At least 5 years' experience within the heavy vehicle or engine industry.
• Strong technical knowledge and mechanical fault-finding capability.
• Experience with Detroit, MTU, Series 60 and/or Allison product lines will be highly regarded.
• Previous leadership, supervisory or Leading Hand experience, or the capability to step into a leadership position.
• The ability to motivate, coach and support a team of technicians.
• Strong organisation and time-management skills.
• A practical understanding of workshop productivity, labour costs, gross margin and operational performance.
