Job summary

Virgin Australia is seeking a Leader, Group Reporting within its Finance team. You will steer the Treasury accounting function, own ongoing Oracle ERP maintenance, and deliver robust financial controls and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Treasury accounting function for the Group, owning month-end governance and statutory reporting.

As Leader, Group Reporting, you’ll play a pivotal role in Virgin Australia’s Group Reporting team, leading the Treasury accounting function and owning the ongoing maintenance of our Oracle ERP system. You’ll drive process improvements and deliver ad hoc projects as the business evolves, including the design and implementation of effective financial controls, policies and processes. You’ll also support month end governance and statutory financial reporting, ensuring deadlines are met and accurate financial results are delivered. Building strong relationships across Finance and the wider business, you’ll help shape a robust and high performing reporting function.

You’ll be great in this role if you… | About You

• Hold a CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification
• Have a graduate degree in business or a related discipline
• Bring at least five years’ post qualification experience
• Have experience working in an IFRS accounting environment
• Have experience using Oracle Fusion, with SmartView experience highly desirable
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of current accounting standards, including IFRS
• Have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritise a high volume of tasks
• Work well to strict deadlines and adapt easily to changing priorities
• Apply strong problem solving skills and take the initiative to identify and implement process improvements
• Build effective relationships and provide high quality advice, service and support to stakeholders across the business
• Have excellent organisational and time management skills
• Influence confidently across multiple business areas and levels
