Job summary

WesTrac invites applications for a Workshop Supervisor – New Machines Mining in Guildford, WA. You will lead the execution team, manage work orders, ensure safety, and deliver quality aligned with Caterpillar and customer requirements.

You'll drive team performance, recruit and develop staff, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to exceed customer expectations. This role features a Monday–Friday roster with 10.5-hour days, and a strong focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified Plant Mechanic (dual trade highly regarded).
• Previous supervisory experience 2-3 years preferred.
• Proficient computer user with strong MS Office capability.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage shifting workloads, prioritise effectively, and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and utilise the knowledge and rapport to exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety leadership on the workshop floor, run Prestart meetings, allocate tasks with risk awareness.
• Oversee labour planning, forecast needs, and escalate where required to meet targets.
• Recruit, develop and lead a diverse, high-performing team and drive performance.
• Ensure plan compliance with the Area Manager’s approvals for deviations.
• Support continuous improvement by coordinating CPS meetings and CAPEX processes.
