Job description

Lead Veterinarian | Cannington Veterinary Hospital | Perth, WA
Trade the Sydney rush for Perth sunshine, a rewarding leadership role and a lifestyle that gives you more time to enjoy it all.

Thinking about your next career move? What if it came with the opportunity to lead a passionate veterinary team, grow your clinical and leadership skills, and enjoy everything Western Australia has to offer?

At Cannington Veterinary Hospital, you can do exactly that.

Located in Beckenham, just south of Perth’s CBD, our hospital offers the chance to take the next step in your veterinary career without sacrificing the things that matter outside of work. Think weekends exploring beautiful beaches, afternoons by the river, outdoor adventures, great food and the laid‑back WA lifestyle — all while making a real difference to pets, their people and the team you lead.

And with relocation assistance and visa sponsorship available for eligible candidates, making the move could be easier than you think.

Why the move to Perth?

Imagine finishing your working week with more time to enjoy life outside the clinic. Perth offers a fantastic mix of city convenience, outdoor adventure and a relaxed coastal lifestyle.

  • A lifestyle to love: Enjoy Perth’s beaches, parks, river walks, outdoor dining and year-round opportunities to get outside.
  • City convenience without the city feel: Beckenham is well connected to Perth’s CBD and close to Westfield Carousel, with its shops, restaurants, cinema, gym and entertainment options.
  • Adventure on your doorstep: Explore the Swan Valley, discover WA’s stunning coastline or take a trip to Rottnest Island.
  • A better work-life rhythm: Enjoy a flexible four-day working week, with Sundays and public holidays off.
  • Support to make the move: Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are available for eligible candidates.

If you’re ready for a change of scenery, a fresh challenge or simply a lifestyle that gives you more room to breathe, Perth is worth a closer look.

You’ll be supported by an experienced Practice Manager within the clinic, alongside your WA Relationship Manager and the wider support office, providing you with the operational, people and business support you need to settle confidently into your new practice environment and location.

We are open Monday to Friday 8am-6:30pm; Saturday 9am-2pm; closed Sundays and Public Holidays. You will be required to work a flexible 4-day working week which will include a rotating weekend shift.

About You
