Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking an experienced modeller to join our team in Sydney. You will contribute to assurance of current and future strategic, operational and freight models used across the Transport Cluster, delivering analysis that informs programs and policies.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience in transport modelling, and proficiency with tools such as Aimsun, Visum, EMME, Sidra, Dynameq and Python.

Qualifications

• Analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience in transport modelling, transport planning and model validation.
• Proficiency with modelling tools such as Aimsun, Visum, EMME, Sidra, Dynameq and Python.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assurance of current and future strategic, operational and freight models used across the Transport Cluster.
• Test model components, assumptions, data integrity and computational accuracy; undertake scenario and sensitivity testing.
• Prepare detailed validation reports and recommendations.
• Provide advice to model owners, developers and stakeholders to improve modelling processes in a complex transport environment.
• Lead to accurate, reliable and well-governed transport models.
