Job summary

Hoxton Park High School is seeking a Head Teacher Secondary Studies to lead transition programs from Stage 5 to university, training, apprenticeships and employment, ensuring high-quality Careers Education and TVET delivery in line with NSW requirements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated capacity to lead effective transition programs that maximise student engagement, leadership and educational outcomes from Stage 5 through to university, training, apprenticeships and employment.
• Demonstrated capacity to lead a faculty in the delivery of high-quality Careers Education, TVET and post-school pathways, supported by extensive knowledge of NESA requirements, with proven ability to lead staff, develop effective programs and processes, and improve student engagement, achievement and successful transitions beyond school.
• Demonstrated outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with proven capacity to build productive partnerships with students, families, staff, businesses, external agencies and the wider community to support student transition.
• Demonstrated exemplary leadership and capacity to work collaboratively with the Executive team to implement and monitor strategic priorities, including HSC achievement, assessment, student engagement and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Careers Education, TVET and post-school pathways with knowledge of NSW Education requirements.
• Build partnerships with students, families, staff, businesses and external agencies to support transitions.
