Job summary

The Outer East Student Support Services Team, based in Ringwood, Victoria, is seeking a Speech Pathologist to provide high level therapy and wellbeing interventions for students. You will coordinate service delivery within a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to policy development while supporting teachers in adapting educational programs for students with additional needs.

Applicants should have a graduate/post-graduate qualification in Speech Pathology, be eligible for SPA membership, and

Qualifications

• Graduate or post-graduate qualification in Speech Pathology and eligible for SPA membership.
• Current Australian driver’s license is required.
• Working with Children Check is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level speech therapy support to improve student learning.
• Undertake advanced wellbeing interventions for students and schools.
• Coordinate student support services within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Contribute to student wellbeing policy development and leadership within the team.
• Support teachers in developing educational programs for students with additional needs.
• Offer expert advice on student wellbeing issues to colleagues.
• Collaborate with other team members on complex cases.
• Contribute to professional development for the speech therapy team.
• Liaise with community service organisations for student support needs.
