Bupa is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive mobile design and development across its digital products. You will lead and mentor teams, ensure best practices, and deliver high‑quality applications built with native tech stacks for Android and iOS.
The role requires 7+ years in mobile development, strong leadership of 4–10 engineers, and hands‑on work with REST services and Azure. Hybrid working model with collaboration across the business and technology teams.
We are looking for a strong Lead Software Engineer with expertise in either Android or API development. The ideal candidate will have some Android experience, regardless of their primary specialization, and a proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams.
The primary focus of this role is to lead mobile application design and development activities across Bupa’s digital products. This includes ensuring development teams adhere to best practices, delivering high-quality applications built using native tech stacks that meet or exceed business and customer expectations.
Android: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android Studio, Gradle
iOS: Swift, UI Kit/Swift UI, Xcode
.NET backend and integration
Databases and cloud platforms (Azure)
Services such as Azure Service Bus, Function Apps, AKS
