Racing NSW seeks a proactive Racecourse Manager to oversee the preparation, maintenance and daily management of Cessnock Racecourse. The role covers two sand training tracks, grass track renovation and ensuring surfaces meet standards.

You will lead grounds staff, implement maintenance programs, manage irrigation and facilities, and report to Racing NSW. Weekend/public holiday work may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in turf management, horticulture or sports turf or similar field.
• Demonstrated operation and maintenance of plant and machinery.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to plan and prioritise works.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and maintain the course proper, two sand training tracks and racing surfaces.
• Plan turf maintenance programs including mowing, irrigation, fertilising, renovation and track prep.
• Operate, maintain and coordinate servicing of plant, machinery and equipment.
• Maintain irrigation systems.
• General maintenance of racecourse grounds, facilities and infrastructure.
• Oversee maintenance and presentation of stabling and related areas.
• Supervise, coordinate and train grounds staff.
• Ensure WHS practices and safe works.
• Develop and implement routine and seasonal work programs.
• Maintain records and provide regular reports to Racing NSW.
