Job summary

Beca is seeking a qualified Process or Chemical Engineer to join our Industrial team in Sydney. You will lead process designs for capital projects, develop PFDs and P&IDs, and partner with clients to deliver multi-disciplinary solutions.

Join a diverse team and mentor junior engineers while gaining exposure to a range of sectors including food & beverage, minerals, metals and water. Occasional site travel and long-term project assignments form part of the role.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Process or Chemical Engineer with experience delivering capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead process designs, including PFD and P&ID development and equipment specifications.
• Build strong client relationships and translate requirements into project deliverables.
• Provide technical advice to improve process capacity and troubleshoot issues in main plant or utility spaces.
• Undertake and lead process reviews, options assessments and designs.
• Coordinate design inputs with other disciplines from scope definition to detailed design.
• Manage project finances including cost tracking and forecasting.
• Mentor junior engineers and support their development.
• Travel to client sites to support project delivery and on-site implementation.
