Qualifications

• PhD in Polymer Science, Polymer Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or closely related field
• 6+ years of postdoctoral/industry experience in computational or theoretical polymer science
• Depth in polymer theory and multiscale simulation methods
• Ability to work with experimentalists and interpret data using models

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for the polymer research group and mentor scientists and engineers
• Develop theoretical and computational models of polymers for electromechanical coupling
• Build multiscale simulation workflows to relate structure, properties and performance
• Collaborate with experimentalists to design experiments and interpret characterization data
• Integrate computational workflows into autonomous discovery platform with AI and automation teams
• Identify and champion new polymer research directions and collaborations
• Represent polymer effort in cross-functional reviews with external partners
• Publish and present results as appropriate
