Talent in Canberra is seeking an experienced Lead Network Security Engineer to support the operation, security uplift of critical network infrastructure within a secure Australian Government environment.

You will collaborate with technical teams to strengthen network security, assess vulnerabilities and protect ICT systems against evolving cyber threats, while upholding defence-in-depth principles and security standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a cyber security role.
• Strong experience with network security, firewalls, routers and servers.
• Ability to assess and improve network security architectures.
• Experience securing network communications and device configurations.
• Understanding of network protocols, security frameworks and defence-in-depth.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and traffic analysis.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Implement, maintain and support physical and virtual network infrastructure.
• Configure, test and maintain network hardware, software and security devices.
• Assess network security architectures and recommend improvements.
• Review network configurations and implement security enhancements.
• Apply defence-in-depth principles to secure critical infrastructure.
• Provide technical advice on network hardening and cyber security risks.
