Job summary

Lead Shutdown Planner/Scheduler based in Brisbane for Santos Ltd, delivering major shutdown events across Midstream and Energy Solutions assets.

You will lead integrated shutdown planning with engineering, operations, maintenance, procurement and contractors to ensure safe, efficient, and execution-ready shutdowns. This role requires advanced Primavera P6 and SAP PM experience and a strong focus on cost and schedule integration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ shutdown/turnaround planning and scheduling experience, ideally in oil & gas, energy or heavy industry.
• Experience delivering major or Tier 3/4 shutdowns.
• Advanced Primavera P6 and SAP PM/CMMS experience.
• Strong understanding of shutdown sequencing, critical path analysis and work management.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, including Excel, Power BI and/or SharePoint.
• Experience with cost/progress integration between SAP and P6.

Responsibilities

• Translate maintenance strategies, MOC, equipment history and engineering requirements into structured job plans, task lists and work methodologies within SAP.
• Define and manage shutdown scope from initial identification through to final work pack issue & execution close out.
• Develop and maintain integrated shutdown schedules using Primavera P6, managing multi‑discipline, multi‑phase activities.
• Conduct cost‑benefit analysis and scope challenge sessions with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Coordinate procurement, materials and pre‑fabrication requirements.
• Integrate cost and progress data between SAP PM and Primavera P6.
• Liaise with key stakeholders including engineering, procurement, vendors, operations and maintenance.
