Job summary

CareCone Group in Canberra, ACT, is seeking a Lead Microservices and AI Technical Architect to drive cloud-native, scalable platforms that power critical federal services. You will lead enterprise modernization, design event-driven architectures, and steer AI initiatives from concept to production, mentoring dispersed teams and aligning technology with business strategy.

This 12-month role emphasizes security by design, SRE-like reliability, and strong stakeholder engagement across delivery

Qualifications

Extensive experience designing cloud-native microservices architectures at scale.
AI engineering expertise including enterprise AI deployment and semantic search.
Strong DevSecOps, CI/CD, testing, observability and security by design.
Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and executives.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and govern cloud-native microservices and event-driven platforms.
Lead enterprise modernization, driving reliability, security and scalability.
Coach and align delivery teams across regions, incl. partners and executives.
Oversee container platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift/AKS/EKS/GKE) and platform automation.
Drive Agile delivery and continual improvement.
