Job summary

Covalent Lithium is seeking a Mechanical Fitter (Leading Hand) to support the Mechanical Supervisor at Mt Holland Mine operations in Western Australia. The role covers planning, leading a crew, and stepping up as required, with night shift support during shutdowns.

This is a permanent position on an 8:6, 7:7 roster, with FIFO from Perth to the Mt Holland site. The successful candidate will have Cert III in Mechanical Engineering, 1–2 years leading hand experience, and a proven track record in

Qualifications

Experience in leading hand roles or supervisory positions in mining or processing plants.
3+ years post-trade experience in a mining or processing environment.
Hands-on experience with maintenance of crushing, screening, milling and conveying systems.

Responsibilities

Assist the Supervisor Mechanical in delivering work instructions and planning.
Lead a crew of up to 8 and provide step-up duties as required.
Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks and safety compliance (Take 5, JHAs).
Perform planned and breakdown maintenance to maximise reliability of fixed plant assets.
Record maintenance activities and equipment history in CMMS and report issues.
Ensure site safety standards and environmental requirements are followed.
Contribute to shutdowns, projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
